This Gesamtkunstwerk tells the story of a man and a young boy, jungle fever, hearts of darkness, the artist’s Confirmation hairdo and the chasing of waterfalls. An associative quest into colonial history on the top of the Mont des Arts.

Works on display:

Eendracht Aalst, photo
Plants and rocks reading homoerotic subtext, installation
I tapped into a source, mixed media on cotton

The Kalulu Falls publication is completely hand made and was published on 16ex. It features two texts: I tapped into a source, reflections (in Dutch) on the theme and protagonists of the exhibition. The second text is a transcript of the audio track in the Plants and rocks… installation. The pages are held together by a rubber band.
